Joaquín Del Vecchio
Full Stack Software Engineer focused on building useful products, not just writing code.
I like understanding the product behind what I build: who uses it, what problem it solves, what metric it could move, and why it matters for the business. I also like taking ownership, learning quickly, and getting involved when something important needs to be solved.
I use AI in a structured way for brainstorming, planning, implementation, review, testing, and test-driven changes. It helps me move faster without putting good technical decisions at risk, and I follow the space closely because it evolves fast and creates new opportunities every day.
I’m always experimenting with projects, tools, and ideas. I don’t like staying still: I like setting goals, building things, and improving every day.
I’m also interested in crypto, startups, business, investing, and personal development.
Projects
A personalized microlearning product that turns topics like culture, psychology, philosophy, science, habits, and finance into a short-form educational feed.
Built an AI-assisted workflow to generate, summarize, curate, and present ideas in a simple format.
A curated platform to discover real events in Buenos Aires, built with Next.js, Supabase, and a custom AI ingestion pipeline.
The system finds, classifies, enriches, and structures event information from multiple sources, turning scattered public data into a useful product experience.
An AI-assisted product that rewrites Argentine news into clearer, more contextual, and less biased summaries.
Work
- Full Stack Software Engineer, LA NACION
I work at LA NACION on frontend and product-facing systems related to SEO, Core Web Vitals, audience segmentation, performance, and commercial banner controls.
Among other things, I built personalization features to show different content to different users, as part of projects to grow subscriptions. I help estimate and plan the work, take ownership of frontend decisions, and coordinate with Product, Backend, Apps, Data, and other teams to make it work across the site.
I also take ownership of production releases, from coordinating teams, validating changes, and merging branches to pushing changes to production and monitoring after deployment with tools like Datadog.
I modernize legacy frontend logic by reducing complexity, improving maintainability, and increasing automated test coverage.
- Software Developer, EY
Developed and maintained React applications, internal tools, and websites. Gave a Python training to new hires.
Worked on product features, bug fixes, testing, production support, and collaboration with technical, functional, and business teams.
Worked with people from different countries, including teams in India and the United States, using English to communicate with distributed teams and understand project needs across contexts.
- Functional Analyst, Practia Global
I took part in several requirements-gathering sessions, functional analysis, coordination, and training, helping translate business needs into clearer functional and technical definitions.
